Save the date: Conference on ‘Quality Assurance in Higher VET’ – 16 May 2017, Brussels

11. July 2017 - 16:28

The conference is organised in the framework of the Erasmus+ project ‘Promoting and Implementing Quality Assurance in Higher Vocational Education and Training’ (QA HiVETnet).

The project developed the ‘European Guidelines on Quality Assurance of Higher VET’. It focuses on qualifications (EQF 5-8) that are offered outside the Bologna-structure and are developed and implemented in close cooperation with sector representatives (‘from the economy, for the economy’).

The European Guidelines will reflect the specific characteristics of these qualifications and they should be used as reference points for quality assurance activities at national levels. The final version of the Guidelines will be presented during the final conference of the project. This conference will also mark the launch of the ‘European Network on Quality Assurance in Higher VET’. This network should guarantee the sustainability and further development of the Guidelines and foster – in the long run – the development of a ‘Higher VET Area’ in which the Guidelines are used.

3s (Karin Luomi-Messerer) is involved in the project as an external evaluator and will moderate the conference. Due to a limited number of seats, participation is by invitation only. Please express your interest to attend this conference until the end of February 2017 (qahivet@ueapme.com). You will then receive an official invitation and the detailed programme in due time. The conference language is English You may find the preliminary conference programme in the attachment.
