'Austrian Strategy for Lifelong Learning LLL:2020' – Reporting and accompanying research

Federal Ministry of Education; Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy; Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Consumer Protection

In 2011, the 'Austrian Strategy for Lifelong Learning LLL:2020' was launched.

The Strategy aims at coordinating and integrating activities in various policy fields with the goal to make lifelong learning a reality across the whole life span, from early childhood education to continuing education after retirement.

The implementation of the strategy is monitored on a yearly base. For the years 2016 and 2017, 3s has taken the responsibility for supporting the monitoring. Furthermore, a stock taking exercise will be implemented, reporting on progress made up to the end of 2018 against the backdrop of goals defined in the strategy. Based on this interim evaluation, recommendations will be developed for the remaining life-time of the strategy and for a possible follow-up strategy in the years to come.
