The visualisation, recognition and evaluation of learning processes and learning outcomes, in particular of non-formally and informally acquired competences and learning outcomes (validation), is the focus of the current issue of the magazine for adult education "Die Österreichische Volkshochschule" (ÖVH).

In her contribution Karin Luomi-Messerer (3s) deals with possibilities and perspectives for Austrian adult education centres and gives practical examples from Austria and abroad.
