Based on a series of projects, CEDEFOP (European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training) has established a database on cost-sharing schemes for adult learning across the EU Member States (reference period 2010-2012).

The aim of this project is to assess the performance of EU Member States’ skills systems and to provide early warning signals of the presence of skill mismatches in occupations of priority economic relevance.

The thematic network ‘Work-based Learning and Apprenticeships’ (NetWBL) focuses on the identification and promotion of good or interesting practices and products relevant to the development and delivery of work-based learning.

The purpose of this research project was to study VET governance structures and financing arrangements in five selected countries - Italy, Spain, Sweden, Latvia and Portugal - in the view of establishing or expanding apprenticeship.
