The project VQTS II builds on the results of the successful, award-wining project VQTS (2003-2006) and aims to further develop the principles and methods for designing a Competence Matrix.

The study on talent management in Lower Austrian enterprises was undertaken in co-operation with the Danube University in Krems. The aim of the project was to obtain an overview on the use of the term “talent management”, to investigate talent management approaches in Lower Austrian businesses, and to find out – based on different theoretical models – for which kinds of businesses talent management might be of interest.

 AMS Austria intends to use the AMS occupational classification to organise international data exchange. For this purpose a mapping of this national system to the current version of the International standard classification for occupations (ISCO-08) had to be prepared.

In January 2012, the Austrian National Agency for Lifelong Learning set up an ECVET contact point. At the same time, a team of seven national ECVET experts has been appointed - Karin Luomi-Messerer is part of this team.
