VQTS model as a good practice

VQTS is a model developed in an EU project coordinated by 3s to transparently present work-related competences and the process of competence development.

In the recent newsletter of the NOVA-Nordic project it is presented as a good practice example as a “VQTS” (Vocational Qualification Transfer System) competence matrix can also be used for validating non-formal and informal learning.  Nova-Nordic is a two-year Erasmus+ project looking at the links between national qualifications frameworks and non-formal qualifications as well as the validation of non-formal and informal learning in seven countries. In addition to the Nordic countries, these include the Netherlands and Austria. One of the aims of the project consortium is to develop recommendations and present examples of good practice to advance the work with non-formal qualifications in Europe. In the latest NOVA Newsletter, the first results of the comparative study “Links between validation, non-formal learning and National Qualification Frameworks” are presented and the VQTS model co-developed by 3s is presented in an article by Karin Luomi-Messerer as one of three best practice examples.
