As Europe faces demographic change, technological advances, the green transition and persistent labour shortages, vocational education and training (VET) has a key role to play in preparing people and businesses for the future. The EVTA Conference, “VET at the Centre of a Renewed Europe,” will explore how VET can support Europe's competitiveness, resilience and social inclusion by equipping people with the skills and adaptability needed to navigate changing labour markets. Bringing VET into the wider European policy debate, the conference will examine its role in responding to economic, technological and social transformations, supporting lifelong learning and shaping Europe's future workforce.

Das Netzwerk Hochschulforschung Österreich lädt zur Einreichung von Beiträgen für die 6. Hofo-Konferenz ein. Die Konferenz findet am 7. und 8. Juli 2027 an der Universität Wien statt und steht unter dem Thema:

„Perspektiven der Hochschulentwicklung: Profilbildung und Finanzierung in Lehre, Forschung und Third Mission“. Angesichts wachsender gesellschaftlicher Erwartungen, knapper Ressourcen und sich wandelnder Rahmenbedingungen stehen Hochschulen vor der Herausforderung, ihre Profile weiterzuentwickeln und strategische Prioritäten zu setzen. Die Konferenz widmet sich daher Fragen der Hochschulsteuerung, Governance, Finanzierung und Organisationsentwicklung sowie deren Auswirkungen auf Hochschulen und ihre Akteur:innen. Willkommen sind theoretische, empirische und praxisbezogene Beiträge aus der Hochschulforschung sowie angrenzenden Forschungsfeldern. Die Konferenz bietet Raum für den Austausch zwischen Wissenschaft, Hochschulmanagement und Hochschulpolitik. Die Einreichfrist für Abstracts ist am 15. Jänner 2027. Vertreter:innen von Universitäten, Forschungsinstituten, Unternehmen, Stiftungen und Bundesinstitutionen kommen auf dem OJA (Online Job Advertisements) Forum zusammen, um sich regelmäßig zu methodischen Fragestellungen und Herausforderungen bei der Analyse von Online-Stellenanzeigen auszutauschen. In der Arbeitsmarktforschung werden Online-Stellenanzeigen immer häufiger als Datenquelle genutzt. Das OJA Forum bietet einen Raum für den Austausch zu aktuellen Forschungen sowie die gemeinsame Erörterung verschiedener methodischer Ansätze. Es ermöglicht neben der Diskussion und der Vernetzung gemeinsame Standards zu setzen. Das 11. OJA Forum ist in fünf Sessions unterteilt:

• Ausbildungsmarkt und akademische Jobprofile: Erkenntnisse aus Stellenanzeigen

The Annual Vocational Training Conference will bring together representatives of the labour market and public authorities to explore how vocational training can better respond to skills needs and support sustainable employment in Greece. Through interactive workshops, alumni experiences, live demonstrations of tools and exchanges of good practices, participants will discuss ways to strengthen the links between vocational training, skills development and labour market needs. The conference aims to develop actionable proposals to improve training quality, foster innovation and promote social inclusion.

As work on the VET Strategy moves forward, the EVBB Annual Conference 2026 will bring together VET leaders, policymakers, project practitioners and institutional partners in Paris to explore what the strategy means for the future of vocational education and training across Europe. Under the theme Europe's VET Strategy in Action, the three-day conference will provide a platform for policy discussions, knowledge exchange and cooperation, connecting European priorities with the experiences and needs of VET institutions and organisations. The programme will feature interactive Implementation Labs, where participants can contribute to shaping practical outcomes, alongside a study visit to a Parisian VET institution and networking opportunities designed to encourage new partnerships and future projects. By bringing together stakeholders from across Europe, the conference aims to strengthen cooperation within the VET community and explore how emerging European policy priorities can translate into action at institutional and national levels.
