FORWARD. Adult Learning: Igniting Change, Shaping Tomorrow

EPALE Community Conference 2024

Veranstalter: EPALE

Imagine a world where learning never stops, where every adult has the power to reinvent themselves, to be agents of change and to shape tomorrow. Welcome to FORWARD, where adult learning is not just a concept, it’s a revolution. A revolution in which curiosity knows no age limit, in which skills evolve at the speed of innovation, and in which frontiers are waiting to be explored.

At EPALE 2024 Community Conference, prepare to be inspired, challenged and transformed. This is more than a conference. It’s a catalyst for igniting adult learning and a glimpse of a future where adult learning is nurtured and celebrated.

So, are you ready to go FORWARD? Let’s ignite the change and create the future together!

The conference will address 3 main themes, along the three days:

Learning Across Continents: Conversations in a divided world

VETNET

Topics:

  • How do we understand the role of VET in preparing young people for work when labour markets and workplaces are in flux nationally and internationally?
  • Is this changing the nature of VET and VET curricula? Is it raising new questions on work, labour markets and education? What is core to VET that is stable across different contexts?
  • Are systems looking more similar or more different from each other?
  • What are the main factors—such as workplace organisation, changing labour markets, changing enrolment in schools and universities, and the nature of economies that are influencing different aspects of VET provision—such as curriculum, governance, partnerships, enrollment patterns—in different countries?
  • How do we connect better as researchers, and use VET research to build connection?
