3s is mourning for Ronald Sultana

Ronald Sultana, Professor of sociology of education at University of Malta and leading expert in the cross-country comparative research on career guidance for young people and adults has unexpectedly passed away on November 23rd.

Ronald has been member of the team of senior experts in the 3s led Cedefop project on Individual Learning Accounts (ILAs) and the potential for integrated support policies and systems for CVET and adult learning. Moreover, he has contributed the key chapter on Lifelong Career Guidance in the recently published Third Handbook of Lifelong Learning, coedited by Jörg Markowitsch. With Ronald, we have lost an eminent critical voice relentlessly pushing for the realisation of the emancipatory potential of career guidance around the globe.

Our deepest sympathy goes to Ronald’s family. It has been a privilege to work with Roland and we will miss him deeply.
