Increasing the quality of traineeships in Europe

European Commission study evaluating the Council Recommendation on the Quality Framework for Traineeships published.

In 2014, based on the European Council Recommendation, the Quality Framework for Traineeships (QRP) was introduced. The recently published study assesses the impact of the implementation and discusses whether and, if so, which adjustments are desirable. For this purpose, the central developments in the EU27 since 2014 are described and it is surveyed what has worked well or less well in the implementation process of the QRP.

The study, commissioned by the Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion of the European Commission, was carried out by Ecorys, 3s and Spark Legal Network. Mariya Dzhengozova and Monika Auzinger contributed to research and reporting.
