Validation of non-formal and informal learning

3s supported the Austrian Ministry of Education in the preparation of the national report on the implementation of the Council Recommendation on the validation of non-formal and informal learning.

The Recommendation of the European Council on validation of non-formal and informal learning calledon EU Member States to introduce arrangements for the validation of non-formal and informal learning by 2018 and to submit national reports documenting the state of implementation of the Recommendation.

These reports were presented to the EQF Advisory Group (EQF AG), the advisory body for implementing the European Qualifications Framework. EQF AG was to be used as a platform for constructive feedback and mutual learning.

3s (Karin Luomi-Messerer) was commissioned by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research (BMBWF) to draft the Austrian report.

The report was presented to EQF AG in December 2018.
