For more than ten years, the European Commission has supported European University Business Forums to share knowledge and ideas between universities and businesses and to foster innovation. The University Business Cooperation in Europe platform plays a key role in this. It regularly brings together universities, businesses, business associations, civil society actors and policy makers at a European level.
The current work of the University Business Cooperation focuses on the COVID 19 pandemic and its effects, such as social distancing through online education or the loss of income for universities due to the decline of participation of international students. It is indisputable that universities play an important role in supporting economic recovery. 3s acts as a facilitator in this process.
