On the future of vocational education and training in Europe — volume 1 published

The first volume of results from our three-year Cedefop project on the status and prospects of VET in Europe has just been published.

The publication, entitled “The future of vocational education and training in Europe: The changing content and profile of VET: epistemological challenges and opportunities”, explores changes in the way knowledge, skills and competences are differentiated in VET curricula and how learning is organised in different learning venues: classrooms, workshops and the workplace. The study gathered information through Cedefop’s ReferNet network, in-depth country case studies and an online survey of more than 900 European VET providers. From 3s, Monika Auzinger, Mariya Dzhengozova, Karin Luomi-Messerer and Jörg Markowitsch contributed to the report.
