EXPECT — Sustainable Vocational Education and Training in Latvia

After another peer learning activity, the 4th newsletter of the Erasmus+ project EXPECT - Exchanges of Practices in Education for Climate Targets has been published.

From 4 to 5 April 2022, the fourth project meeting took place as a Peer Learning Activity (PLA) in Riga. The aim of the EXPECT project is to develop new educational pathways for STEM vocational education in order to implement the European Commission’s climate targets and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). During the meeting, the Latvian vocational education system and the Latvian “Eco School Programme” were presented, among others. The latter implements various projects in Latvian schools to improve awareness and understanding of the circular economy. Furthermore, the activities of WWF Latvia in the field of environmental education and sustainable projects of vocational school students and company representatives were presented.
