Lunch lectures on VET for adults and skill demand

Numerous exciting webinars took place in December as part of the Erasmus+ VET Team Austria's Lunch Lectures. 3s was represented with two lectures.

The Erasmus+ VET Team Austria at the OeAD, the national agency for Erasmus+, offers information and counselling services on European instruments and principles of vocational education and training. In December 2023, the VET Team Austria organised a series of one-hour lectures and workshops, online and at lunchtime. The programme around the topic of VET was diverse.

3s offered two webinars as part of the Lunch Lectures. In his presentation “Adults in VET — VET for adults: Is Austria following the European trend?”, Günter Hefler spoke about the role of VET systems for adults and adults as target groups of VET, be it for the first-time attainment of qualifications, for further training or in connection with a career change. Eva Steinheimer and Stefan Humpl devoted their presentation to the topic of “Action-relevant levers for combating skills shortages and the role of vocational education and training” and discussed which (policy) areas contribute to guarantee skill supply for the labour market, from initial education and training and adult learning to the role of companies, as well as labour mobility, health and gender equality issues.
