While mould technicians tend to have a lot of knowledge in metal mould making, the European automotive industry has called for further investment in training experts in plastic mould making for years. Specific training opportunities are currently scarce, which is why a European consortium came together to change this within the framework of a tangible Erasmus+ project.

The aim of the project is to develop an innovative, learning outcome-based training (CPD) curriculum to create a learner-centred and interactive learning environment. 3s is responsible for the development of the professional profile defining the required skills and knowledge in plastic mould making. The training includes both digital and hands-on learning as well as cooperative learning methods. Pilot tests will take place in the partner countries Slovakia, Spain and the Czech Republic in the form of further training modules in plastic mould making. A manual will support all interested trainers and training providers in implementing similar training courses in the future.
