Where to turn in your career? The Vienna Weeks show the way

Since 2015, the ‛Vienna Employment Promotion Fund’ – waff organises the ‛Vienna Weeks for Career and Continuing Education’, annual career guidance events. 3s supports the ‛Vienna Weeks’ conducting a quality monitoring.

What opportunities do I have after compulsory school? I want to continue my education, is there financial support? How can I have my qualification acquired abroad recognised in Austria? These are typical questions with which interested people have been coming to the diverse events of the Vienna Weeks since 2015.

The Vienna Weeks are funded by the waff and organised together with a network of local educational and counselling organisations. The aim is to reach potentially disadvantaged groups through outreach counselling activities in their familiar living and social settings and to inform them about the wide range of career and further education opportunities at their disposal in Vienna. Important target groups include formally low-skilled adults of all ages as well as pupils before progressing from compulsory school to further education.

3s supports the collection of participants data and uses it as a basis for estimating whether the relevant target groups are being reached. On the basis of statistical analyses, on-site visits to the events and follow-up telephone interviews with participants, the Vienna Weeks as a format for outreach work are continuously improved.
