Strengthening the international cooperation on Vocational Excellence

From 9-10 November, the final conference of the ETF project on ‘International Dimension of Centres of Vocational Excellence’ was held in Turin.

Gruppenfoto bei der ETF-KonferenzAs acknowledged by the European Skills Agenda, Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) can be vital in advancing changes in the vocational education and training sector. The International Self-Assessment Tool for Centres of Vocational Excellence (ISATCOVE) and specific initiatives in the areas entrepreneurship and digitalisation were presented at an international expert conference with policy makers from the ETF partner countries and representatives from the EU and CoVEs.

The ETF project, in which 3s is involved in several sub-projects, has already produced numerous results, which were presented at the conference. Particular attention was paid to the exchange on the self-assessment tool ISATCOVE, which is currently in the pilot phase and supports the development and recognition of CoVEs. Another item on the agenda was dedicated to the feasibility study, which suggests how CoVEs using ISATCOVE can be supported by the introduction of a quality label or an award.

The 3s experts Monika Auzinger and Karin Luomi-Messerer, together with Doriana Monteleone (ETF), presented the current state-of-play of the feasibility study at the conference and at the meeting of this sub project’s consultation committee held the day before.

The conference also included presentations on case studies on good practices in applied research in VET, CoVEs and green change and digitalisation. Follow the links to the respective reports or read more here.
