Future of VET – challenges and choices
The challenges European VET systems face are manifold. The results of a multi-year research project on this were recently discussed at an online conference.
The future of VET in Europe as research topic has been promoted by Cedefop since 2015. 3s coordinated the research consortium in both the first resulting project, The changing nature and role of VET in Europe (2015–18), and the follow-up project, The future of vocational education and training (VET)(2019–22). Numerous publications provide information on the deeper understanding of the European vocational education and training systems and their changes gained in the process; the latest findings were presented at an online conference on 5 and 6 December.
